EMU alumni serve, lead and transform their communities close to home and around the world.
EMUStories.com is a new repository for telling alumni stories. The site pulls content from written, audio, and video sources; historic images; and alumni-submitted anecdotes.
Search the site
Use the search bar or drop down menus across the top of the page. Search by topic (such as “peacebuilding”), alumni grad year (find content about your peers!), program departments and more. Note that if you narrow your search to a particular decade and then go to another category, you will only see stories from that era. So, if you want to see all stories in a particular topic, just click the X at the top of the section that indicates how you have narrowed your search options.
The bulk of the content is written word from EMU’s news blog (sign up to receive alerts as content is posted) and our magazines Crossroads and Peacebuilder (featuring EMU’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding). While www.emu.edu continues to serve as EMU’s institutional website, the EMUStories.com site will link in and be a long-term repository for research, remembrance or reflection.
Tell us your story: Good or bad
Please share your stories with us — audio, images or text at SUBMIT A STORY. Your ideas may tip us off to larger treatments; or, we may post simply as submitted. We will be in touch to let you know our plan.
We recognize that not every EMU experience was one of joy or good times. There are stories of hurt, disappointment, anger. We welcome those stories as well. Sharing our pain can provide opportunities for acknowledgement and perhaps healing.
Enjoy these stories, share them with others and We welcome feedback at email@example.com
